Introducing the single piece magazine release from Maskas Precision for the Sig P365. Patent pending one piece body and retention system design. Innovative design that doesn't rely on the OEM plastic catch that can fail.
Designed as a direct replacement for the OEM Macro mag release to be installed on all factory and aftermarket grip modules/frames that require the "standard" catch. Extended over standard P365 mag catches and maintains the same height as the factory macro catch but with a flat button profile for improved reach. See below for grip module/frame fitment info.
Made right here in the USA from 17-4 Stainless Steel and coated in black DLC for a long service life.
Sold as a complete kit including:
- MPI Single Piece Magazine Release
- ISMI stainless steel spring
- Two black oxide coated stainless steel set screws (1 for a spare)
- Allen wrench for install
- Install Instructions

***Will not be flush on the catch side on macro frames or aftermarket frames that require the macro plastic catch with the flap although it will function correctly***
GRIP MODULE/FRAME FITMENT
If your current grip module uses the small/standard plastic catch piece this is the one for you. Also, if you are looking for an OEM macro length for use in a macro grip and do not mind having this release sit recessed on the catch side, it will function 100%
Confirmed flush fit on the catch side on the following frames:
- Sig XL and other NON MACRO grips
- Sig AXG Legion
- Icarus ACE Aluminum - All versions including Macro (Air Polymer see our Macro version)
- Icarus AXG
- Mischief Machine Commander (for Alpha Gen 3 and Commander Gen 2 see our Macro version)
- Wilson Combat XL and other NON MACRO
- Smith Defense
- Juggernaut Tactical
- Sharps Bros
- Shalotek Flex
SIG SAUER AXG GRIP MODULE FITMENT
Our Standard version is the most "OEM" style upgrade of our two variants for the AXG. Sig is now supplying the AXG grips with the smaller plastic catch as you see below, resulting in a slightly recessed fitment. Our fitment is exactly the same as the OEM pieces. If you are wanting an extended mag release for your AXG see our Macro version but please pay attention to the fitment and pictures as the Macro will stick out past the grip module slightly on the "catch" side.

MPI P365 Single Piece Magazine Release - Standard Frame
Fantastic customer service. I actually get a man on the other like not a robot. Answered all my questions. Wealth of knowledge. Shipped next day and was delivered 3 days after ordering. Fits my Sig P365 AXG Legion perfectly. Far better product that the OEM.

Much better than the original’
I installed this on my P365 Legion After the one that came with the gun flew off in pieces at the range. The installation of the one piece was very easy, especially watching the video of how to install. This is a far better design than the one from. Sig Sauer. I had put off buying this because I thought I did not need it, surely the magazine release that came on a premium priced gun (P365 AXG Legion) would not fail. I was completely wrong. During a reload drill at the range, the magazine release that came on the gun came out in multiple pieces never to be seen again. The one piece from Maskas is significantly better designed and built. I highly recommend everyone install this to prevent a failure at a critical moment with the OEM release. As a sidenote, they were also awesome in answering my questions and getting me this part very quickly.

Much Better Than OEM and IMO, the Align Tactical
The install was much simpler than installing any other mag release using the OEM grub. I much prefer this to the Align Tactical. Most likely just my hands, but it feels much more stable.

Standard Mag Release Button
After reading online from numerous posters about the Sig Sauer P365 mag release button failing, I decided to change the button to a one piece design. Fortunately, I found this one, which is stainless steel and not plastic, which is standard on the P365. My model of the P365 is the AXG Legion. I chose to go with the standard release button which is exactly like the OEM button height. Removing the original button was pretty simple, but for a $1200 gun, why would Sig put a multi piece mag release button on it? Literally, the only thing holding the button together is a small thin plastic tab. Installing the new one piece button was a breeze and just remember to use blue Loctite on the set screw and just tighten it until it is fully seated, then stop. Don’t over tighten it, the Loctite will prevent the screw from backing out. The button comes with the spring, 2 set screws (1 is extra), and the Allen key. You just need to supply the Loctite and a few minutes of time to do the job. Highly recommend.

The extended magazine fit and works great. Vast improvement from the original. The addition of the new part required modification of my carry holster.

P365 single piece magazine release
This review is for the latest button texture. It’s fantastic! I’ve got all the variants and this is the best yet. I don’t think there was a “everyone should do this upgrade” product for P365 before this - everyone’s got different preferences - but the Maskas single piece design is a no-brainer: the first upgrade to do to every P365.

Works great, better than stock
Works smooth and a much better design than stock. I did no matter how I take out the mag release to try and find which I like best on a stick release that polymer piece gets chewed up. With this one, no worries and it sticks out just enough over stock macro release to be awesome and not too much. I have it installed on a sharps bros grip, and will be staying with this one. I've tried strike ind, stock x, stock macro, and this. Maskas is the final one I'm going to try.
